BIO

I started piercing myself in London, Ontario around 1996.  I started reading different things that provoked interest into changing my body.  This lead to experimenting on myself and tons and tons of research.   Following my research, I started looking for an apprenticeship and found that fruitless.  I started working more and more on myself, and feeling less and less comfortable with those I met already in the industry.   In 1997, seeing my piercings healing very well, friends started asking me for work and after that, things pretty much exploded for me.

I found that the more I learned, the more I wanted to learn and the better results I was getting with everything.   I still learn very regularly and hope that I will continue at the pace I have set for myself in learning and advancing.

Over the years I have been working as a piercer, I have traveled a lot to work at different shops and with many piercers.   I always found I could learn from working with anyone, even if it was simply what not to do or something completely unrelated to piercing.

I have a really great reputation for what I specialize in and even more importantly, all the basics.  I enjoy spending quality time with my clients for everything from navels to 3Dart.  It’s very important for me to provide the experience that people are looking for.   For this reason, I do approach different people different ways and a lot of that is based around how I'm approached in the first place.  Unfortunately, this sometimes makes me out to be a bit of an asshole, but if you take this in stride and listen, you'll usually find out very quickly that it’s only my concern coming out a bit strongly.   I always want the best for everyone.

I specialize in working with people to provide them with what they are looking for.   I try to help my clients plan out what’s best for what they wish to achieve.  Sometimes this is simply with advice on how to re-heal something and sometimes it gets into more complicated procedures.   In relation to jewelry, this almost always leads into thicker piercings.

It is my opinion that THICKER IS BETTER!   But going with thicker jewelry selection is very important.  Going too thick can cause just as many problems as going too thin, but it can also make things no longer aesthetically pleasing.   Sizing the beads on a barbell to flatter a thicker piece of jewelry can have it looking very similar to a dainty small piece, but with a much more secure look and feel to it.

I enjoy doing the "heavier" types of work.  Most of this is because of the personal aspects that go into changing someone, as well as with the clients. They have usually thought a lot longer and harder on what they are having done, so they care much more.   The caring makes what I am doing worth while.  I have experience in large gauge piercing with needles, scalpels and punches and can use them to give people quick healing and comfortable piercings.    I have experience in 3Dart, and have provided well healed and comfortable pieces for many people.  I have experience with scarification and do offer cuttings.   I stopped doing branding because I don't enjoy the overall end product.  For my tastes, cuttings heal and look better.   There isn't much that I don't know at least something about, so if there is a type of modification you may have questions about, please contact me.

My personal work tends to express my personal aesthetic, as well as shows my dedication to the industry.   Jewelry wise, I stick to thicker pieces that tend to be fairly heavy.  I find this to give my piercings more feeling.   The weight of the jewelry makes me aware of the piercings and this makes me happy.

Tattoo wise, I enjoy large scale colour work.   Chris Moniz has done a lot of work on me and I plan on having much more work from him.  He is a wonderful artist that usually understands me very well and won’t hesitate to tell me if something can or can not work.

With respect to 3Dart, I have large bars in my forearms that I did in 2000, as well as a PTFE piece in my bicep.  There will be more as I have time, including further bicep work and some pieces for my shoulders.  This will eventually be tattooed over giving my arms a specific look.

With respect to scars, I have many.  Most can hardly be seen but they are there nonetheless.   I have been toying with a large piece to compliment an old tattoo I have on my leg.

With my work, I have tried my best to experience every sort of modification I would offer.   This makes me much more comfortable offering them because I know what they felt like for me.  I know how they healed for me.   This provides me with personal experience, as well as professional.  For most of my clients, this is very comforting knowing I have experienced something at least very similar to what they are asking about.

(What's in my face fairly recently: 2ga lip plugs, 12ga tongue web, split tongue and 4ga septum that are hiding here, vertical bridge piercing, 7/8" lobes, 2ga lobes, 8ga upper ears, and 14ga upper ears.)

More will be added to this eventually, if you are looking for more about me try my myspace.
